Free Palin!

If you read my earlier post about the mass rapes occurring in the Congo, then you know that I’m sensitive to women’s issues. Further, I’ve posted numerous times on the genocide in Darfur. Just type in “Darfur” in the search box in the upper left corner of this page and you can read those posts. You can glean from these posts that I’m sensitive to human rights in general.
It’s with that sensitivity to human rights that I hereby launch the Free Palin! campaign. Since McCain announced Palin as his pick for vice-president, Palin has given three interviews — three. Tonight after the debate, NBC interviewed Joseph Biden to get his reaction. Then, to be balanced, NBC turned to Republican………former presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani.
According to Brian Williams, NBC asked to speak to Palin to counter their time with Biden, but she “declined.” Right, she declined. I don’t believe that for a second. Someone in the McCain camp, or maybe even an evil Democratic operative, is keeping this bright, intelligent, and circumspect VP nominee from speaking to the press without a teleprompter.
It’s obvious that Palin is being held captive. She is a hostage. At this day and age, I, for one, will not stand idly by and allow a potential VP to be held against her will. This is an outrage. Until Palin is free, none of us can take our freedom for granted. As the Rev. Martin Luther King said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Gov. Palin’s kidnapping is an injustice we cannot abide.
I don’t know who the perpetrators are — it could be the Russians or the Canadians; remember she eats breakfast 300 yards from Russians and Canadians who are trained to kill her — but we have to get to the bottom of this. For all we know, it could have been a family member of one of those moose she killed. After all, moose don’t put up with much as demonstrated in my post here.
I will not rest until Gov. Palin is rescued and allowed to speak freely. This is a bi-partisan campaign. This is no time for party politics. It is time to reach across the aisle and release Gov. Palin from her bondage. It is time to bring her captors to justice: dead or alive. Just like Bush did with bin Laden.
This may not be the easiest job in the world, but it’s one I’ll happily take on. Who’s with me?

Palin was very good last night. All of you Palin haters should have a little bite of humble pie along with your crow today.

MD — I’ll wash the crow down with the kool-aid that you’ve been drinking. I kept waiting for Palin to pull her flute out for the talent portion of the competition.
You’re right that she didn’t pull another Miss South Carolina Teen USA on us, but ready to be POTUS? I can’t fathom it unless we’re using Bush as the standard.
